This publication analyses how the culture of town planning is approaching the new century and examines the tools, shortcomings, certainties and concerns of this discipline in the period in which late capitalism has emerged and continues to evolve. The book uses multiple texts, which overlap or diverge in ways that reflect different sensibilities, to focus on different ways of seeing the city. The texts are grouped in relation to four different perspectives: historical, socioeconomic, scientific-philosophical and technological.
