5th European Landscape Biennial |
||
|
The European Landscape Biennial will be held in Barcelona from the 25th to the 27th of September. The fifth edition of the event – 'Storm and Stress' – is organised by the Professional Association of Architects of Catalonia (COAC), the Masters Programme in Landscape Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the Association of Friends of UPC, and the Government of Catalonia’s Department of Territorial Policy. |
||
|
The aim of the biennial is to facilitate exploration and discussion on the subject of landscape intervention from the perspective of landscape architecture and other disciplines linked to the study and evolution of this field.
The
biennial has become a key event for landscape design in Europe. The
three-day symposium will include talks, presentations by finalists
competing for the Rosa Barba European Landscape Prize, papers,
roundtable discussions and exhibitions. These activities will enable
participants to track and discuss the evolution of landscape design in
Europe.
On the first day of the symposium presentations will be made by the finalists competing for the Rosa Barba European Landscape Prize. The second day will be devoted to discussions involving landscape theorists and designers, and day three will focus on discussion of a specific territory of interest, with the aim of analysing and discussing its development. This year the spotlight will be on the United States.
