2nd competition for audiovisual works: Instantes del Paisaje 08

The CDAN has opened the second competition for audiovisual works in collaboration with Huesca’s Fundación Festival de Cine. The aim of the competition, Instantes de Paisaje 08 (Landscape Moments 08), is to select a maximum of 10 projects with the aim of promoting the idea of landscape and audiovisual creation. The deadline for submitting entries is 2:00 p.m. on 13 October 2008.

One of the main aims of the Beulas Foundation’s CDAN is to promote study of the relationships between art and nature. In addition to the permanent collection created in Huesca, exhibitions, courses and publications, the CDAN is now opening a competition for audiovisual works in collaboration with Huesca’s Fundación Festival de Cine.

The competition is open to all natural and legal persons who are lovers of the plastic arts. Each participant may submit a maximum of 10 works. Works must be in DVD format for subsequent single-channel or Digital Betacam projection. This competition is not open to video installations or other works that require any specific set-up or technology that does not comply with the exhibition format. Works that are not in English must be subtitled in this language. The maximum length is 30 minutes.

A first prize of €2000 and a second prize of €1000 will be awarded. The works that receive these prizes and other works selected may be shown in exhibitions organised by the CDAN within the framework of its programming or in connection with the Huesca Film Festival. The results of the competition will be made public on the CDAN website on 31 October 2008 and communicated to all participants.
