2nd International Conference on Landscape and Urban Horticulture

The University of Bologna will host the 2nd International Conference on Landscape and Urban Horticulture from 9 to 13 June 2009. The conference will focus on the relationship between people, plants and quality of life, and take a transversal approach to ecophysiology, psychology and landscape architecture. The deadline for submitting conference abstracts is 13 October.

Scientific papers presented at the conference must be related to one of the following subjects: ecophysiology and plant management in the urban environment, psychological and social aspects of gardening, plant use and garden design – including transversal views where landscape architecture meets functional horticulture management in cities – and urban agriculture.

Contributions dealing with innovative solutions for garden design and management, including ecological engineering and technologies, will be particularly welcome.

  • Ecophysiology and vegetation management in urban environments
