Europos Parkas: a sculpture park at the centre of Europe
Founded in 1991 by Lithuanian sculptor Gintaras Karosas, the 55-ha park showcases over 100 sculptures by well-known contemporary artists, including Dennis Oppenheim, Sol LeWitt and Magdalena Abakanowicz. The site is currently one of the most visited places in Lithuania. Services Europos Parkas boasts a restaurant, a gift shop and a post office. There’s also an educational service that offers guided tours in English, Lithuanian and Russian. In addition to these activities, the park promotes an artist residency programme in which many artists have participated in recent years
