This seminar will be held on June 12 and 13, 2009 at the Centre d’Art La Panera in Lérida. The deadline for registration is May 17. Participants who wish to present papers at the event may submit their proposals until March 12. [+]

La Marrana Arteambientale

This month we travel to the Montemarcelo-Magra Nature Park in La Marrana, Italy to discover a 30.000 m2 enviromental art space surrounded by olive, pine and cypress trees. [+]

Second Biennial of the Canary Islands: Architecture, Art and Landscape

The documentary stage of the Second Biennial of the Canary Islands: Architecture, Art and Landscape got underway last December. The event is a cultural gathering organised by the Government of the Canary Islands and held every two years. The biennial is directed by Juan Manuel Palerm, whose goal is to make the event and its content accessible to the public in order to popularise culture and raise awareness of the landscape and its consequences. The Times of a Place
opens at the CDAN

On January 23, an exhibition entitled The Times of a Place, curated by Neus Miró, opened at the CDAN. The show, which occupies the entire exhibition space of the building created by Rafael Moneo, brings together the work of nine artists who reflect on the passage of time in landscape. The exhibition will remain at the CDAN until March 29. [+]

 

ARCO '09 opens
a window on India

The 28th International Contemporary Art Fair will be held in Madrid from February 11 to 16. This year’s guest country will be India, and the event, organised by IFEMA, will feature 244 galleries from 31 countries. Exhibitors will showcase painting, sculpture, installations, photography, video work, new media art, drawing and engravings. The fair will be open to the public from Friday, February 13. [+]

From paradise to urban landscape

The 36th National Congress on Public Parks and Gardens will be held in Cordoba from April 21 to 25. The theme of this year's edition is ‘from paradise to urban landscape’, and the aim is to provide participants with an opportunity to learn about traditional Andalusian patios, which are a good example of a sustainable approach to gardening that is rooted in history.
