Exhibition of work by Bernard Plossu opens at the CDAN An exhibition entitled Country of Landscapes, featuring the work of acclaimed French photographer Bernard Plossu, will open at the CDAN on April 4. The show chronicles a personal journey and conveys a sense of the way Plossu sees the landscape of Huesca during his travels there. A catalogue published to accompany Country of Landscapes features texts by writer Antonio Ansón. The show will run at the CDAN until June 14. [+] |

International Garden
Festival of Chaumont-sur-Loire The 2009 edition of the International Garden Festival of Chaumont-sur-Loire will get under way on April 29. The theme of this year’s event is Jardins de couleur, and the director of the festival is historian Michel Pastoureau. Twenty gardens have been selected by the festival jury from among over 300 proposals received from around the world. The event will run until 19 October 2009. [+] |

Registration period remains open for ‘Landscape and History’ course The registration period for the CDAN’s ‘Landscape and History’ course, which will be held next June, remains open. The quality of the course is guaranteed by the success of the previous three editions. ‘Landscape and History’ will feature speakers who have won acclaim for their work in Spain and internationally. The number of places available is limited, and applications will be processed strictly in the order in which they are received. [+] |

Art Cologne gets under way The 43rd edition of Art Cologne will open on April 22. Over 180 galleries from Germany and around the world will come together in the German city for the five-day event. The fair is committed to supporting new directions and young artists. The Art Cologne Prize 2009 will be awarded to Harald Falckenberg, one of the most important art collectors in Germany. Since 2007 a version of the German trade fair has also been held in Palma de Mallorca in the month of September. [+] |

Second International
The Second International Green Roof Congress will be held in Nuertingen (Germany) from 25 to 27 May 2009. The event, organised by the International Green Roof Association (IGRA) and the Roof Gardener Association (DDV), will include practical workshops and excursions to local green roof projects. [+] |
