CDAN opens exhibition of photographs by Bernard Plossu |
On 4 April the CDAN opened a show showcasing the work of French photographer Bernard Plossu. Entitled The land of Landscapes, the show chronicles a personal journey and conveys a sense of the way Plossu sees the landscape of Huesca during his travels there. Plossu is regarded as one of the leading photographers on the international art scene. The exhibition will run until 14 June. |

About 300 people attended the opening of the Bernard Plossu exhibition at the CDAN. Those on hand for the event included students who took part in a workshop led by Plossu that was held in Bara (Alto Aragon) in the spring of 2008. Photographs taken by the students are currently being shown in one of the CDAN’s exhibition rooms. Bernard Plossu’s exhibition project is the result of a two-year journey during which he explored different places in the landscape of Huesca to create a photographic archive made up of 394 images, which have now become part of the CDAN’s collection. In addition to the exhibition catalogue, the show has generated two other publications: a small catalogue containing a selection of the photographs that came out of the workshop led by Plossu, and a book of poems by Paco Grasa, entitled Duerme la caliza (also presented on 4 April).
