Last days to register for ‘Landscape and History’ course |

The registration period for the CDAN’s ‘Landscape and History’ course will remain open until 12 June. Lectures will take place from 22 to 26 June in Huesca. The course will feature prominent international lecturers who represent different directions currently being pursued in the field of landscape history. |

The three previous courses in the series looked at landscape in relation
to thought, art and territory.
This
year the course will focus on the
history
and
historiography of landscape,
gardening, and the image of the city.
The
approach
taken
in this university-level course will be theoretical and critical.
Lectures will be aimed at providing new input to contribute to
The course will run for five consecutive days, in morning and afternoon sessions, with three lectures each day, a round table, and a number of complementary activities.
The
course will start with a reception at 9:30am on 22 June, where
credentials and working documentation will be distributed to
participants. Three sessions will be held each day, from 10am to 2pm,
and from 5pm to 7pm. Instructors and lectures
Registration The number of places available is limited, and applications will be processed strictly in the order in which they are received. The closing date for registration is 12 June 2009, and the fee for the course is €250 (transfer charges to be borne by the student). Students enrolled in first- or second-cycle studies at the University of Zaragoza or any other university with which the CDAN has entered into a collaboration agreement can obtain three credits from the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts of Zaragoza. Students must sit an exam to obtain a mark for these credits. Primary and secondary school teachers will receive academic and administrative recognition from the Government of Aragon.
