José Beulas retrospective at the Centro de Arte y Naturaleza

From 24 October to 31 January the Beulas Foundation’s Centro de Arte y Naturaleza will host an exhibition entitled Broadening Horizons. The show presents work executed by Catalan-Aragonese artist José Beulas over the course of a 70-year career. This comprehensive retrospective showcases an artist who has made landscape absolutely central to his work. [+]

 

Art and Nature

Fondation Pierre Gianadda

Located in the heart of the Swiss Alps, this cultural centre was opened in 1978 by the engineer Léonard Gianadda. The centre includes a sculpture park, temporary exhibitions, the Franck collection, and a Gallo-Roman museum. [+]

Meeting of workshops for the implementation of the European Landscape Convention

The Eighth Council of Europe Meeting of the Workshops for the Implementation of the European Landscape Convention will be held on 8-10 October 2009 at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, which is located 10 km from Malmö, Sweden. The aim of the convention is to promote landscape protection.   [+]

11th International Istanbul Contemporary Art Biennial

The 11th International Istanbul Contemporary Art Biennial opened on 12 September and will run until 8 November. The biennial is regarded as one of the most important in the world, along with those held in Venice, São Paulo and Sydney. The aim is to open up a dialogue between artists and the public through the works exhibited at the event. [+]

 
8th International Sculpture Symposium in Liechtenstein

The 8th International Sculpture Symposium will be held on 15-18 October in Vaduz, the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein. ‘Sculpture and Architecture: An Ambivalent Relationship’ is being organised in cooperation with Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, Hochschule Liechtenstein, Zeppelin University and Foundation Sittertal.  [+]

4th European Landscape Conference

The 4th European Landscape Conference will be held in the French city of Strasbourg on 26-28 October. The conference, organised by the French Federation of Landscape Architects, will include a symposium, a forum, and a series of workshops. [+]
