Beulas: Abrir horizontes [exhibition catalogue]

The exhibition, entitled Broadening Horizons in English, showcases a selection of over 100 works executed by the artist between 1947 and 2009.

The artist’s contribution to the history of Spanish painting is reflected in landscapes selected from public and private collections, which are presented along with extensive documentation, including drawings executed when he was studying at the academy, sketches, letters, texts, publications, and works by other artists represented in José Beulas’ private collection, now the CDAN collection.

Over a hundred black-and-white shots included in the show offer an intense and unique opportunity to see photographs taken and developed by José Beulas.

The catalogue is divided into the following sections:

• Listening to the landscape: Introduction by Imma Prieto.

• Works in the exhibition: reproductions of the works now being shown at the CDAN.

• Chronology, documentation and selection of texts.

• Bibliography.
