Ibero-American Cultural Projects Meeting

  
 

The Ibero-American Seminar for Cultural Centres will take place in Buenos Aires from 10 to 12 December. The meeting will bring together the managers of leading cultural spaces and is intended to serve as a forum for examining experiences from different regions in order to lay the groundwork for exchanges and the development of future projects. 

 
 

The Cultural Centre of Spain in Buenos Aires (CCEBA) is organising the Ibero-American Seminar for Cultural Centres within the framework of the Excellence in Cultural Management Programme.
Over the course of the three-day event, presentations will be made on the current status and future plans of each participating centre. Presentations will be given by the representatives of these centres, including Teresa Luesma, director of the CDAN, Gloria Picazo director of La Panera, and Lucía Casani, director of Casa Encendida.

The focus will be on four key themes:

  • Cultural centres and the economic crisis: new management models for coping with the crisis.

  • Private is public and public is private: relationships, interference and collaboration between private and public centres.

  • Activism and cultural centres.

  • From the neighbourhood to the universe: cultural centres and their engagement with the local community (education, senior citizens, children, editorial plans, etc)
