This publication looks at 47 significant projects in the context of contemporary European landscape architecture. The author explores the aesthetic and intellectual attitude of the various styles that underlie the contemporary creation of landscape, as well as trying to shed light on the identity and distinctive language of landscape architecture in the old continent. The book, which contains a wealth of images, argues that it is possible to discern elements which demonstrate that landscape architecture is rooted in a common European culture..
