This book grew out of an international seminar on public art held in Zaragoza in the spring of 2008. Various authors analyse projects that have been pursued around the world in relation to the profusion of public art in urban spaces and its consequences for the social regeneration of neighbourhoods and city economies. The cases examined – drawn from cities in Spain, Europe and the Americas – explore a wealth of different ways of acting on the urban landscape.
