ARCO 2010 gets underway

The fair will be taking place at a time when we are beginning to see the first tentative signs of recovery in the art market. This year the city of Los Angeles will be a special invited participant in ARCOmadrid. The city is widely regarded as one of the most dynamic focal points for creative activity on the contemporary visual arts scene. Seventeen galleries from the US city will be taking part.

The 2010 fair will offer four art programmes:

• PERFORMING ARCO,will provide visitors with an opportunity to take in a range of live performances.

• SOLO PROJECTS will showcase the diversity of the contemporary scene by presenting 30 emerging projects.

• CINEMALoop will focus exclusively on video art.

• Expanded Box will concentrate on the relationship between art and new technologies.
