Registration period open for Landscape and Heritage course

At the end of June, the CDAN will offer the fifth ‘Thinking Landscape’ course, the last in a series of courses that have looked at landscape in relation to a number of specific themes. Previous courses have examined the relationship between this concept and thought, art, territory and history, respectively. The deadline to register for the upcoming course is 16 June 2010. [+]

Guided tours of the CDAN

CDAN opens the exhibition Measurable

Measurable, which will be held from 14 May to 19 September at the Centro de Arte y Naturaleza, focuses on how images (mainly photographic, but also film, video, and even spectrographic images) can be used as a means of analysing and exploring diverse scientific aspects of reality related to nature. The exhibition is curated by Pablo Llorca. [+]

International competition:
Land Art Generator Initiative

Land Art Generator Iniative (LAGI) is an art project promoted by Dubai’s Zero Impact Art Gallery. The aim of the Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) is to involve artists, architects, landscape architects, scientists and engineers in the construction of a series of land and environmental art installations in the United Arab Emirates. Works must combine aesthetic value and clean energy generation. The deadline for submissions is 4 June 2010. [+]

 

CDAN opens call for applications for María Sarrate research grant

One of the aims of the Beulas Foundation is to support and promote research and study of contemporary art. In line with this objective, the CDAN is inviting applications for the third María Sarrate grant for research focusing on the Beulas collection and contemporary art. The deadline for submitting applications is 1 July 2010 at 2:00 p.m. [+]

New edition of the audiovisual competition Instantes de paisaje

One of the aims of the CDAN, the Beulas Foundation’s Centro de Arte y Naturaleza, is to foster study of the relationships between art and nature. The Landscape Moments competition will select a maximum of 10 projects that promote audiovisual creation and the idea of landscape. The deadline for submitting projects is 2:00 p.m. on 1 September 2010. [+]
