Botánica. After Humboldt
goes on tour

The exhibition Botánica: After Humboldt, shown at the CDAN this spring, has now travelled to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. The exhibition opened at the new venue on 16 June and will run until 26 September. After its stay in the Spanish capital, the exhibition tour, which is the outcome of cooperation between the Centro de Arte y Naturaleza and Spanish Cultural Action (AC/E), will move on to Portugal. Neues Museum (Germany)

The Neues Museum, restored and reconstructed by architect David Chipperfield in 2009, was recently awarded the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture, also known as the Mies van der Rohe Award. [+]

The CDAN is offering for sale a unique collection of calendars designed by the artists we work with. These limited edition products are produced in a way that makes each individual item unique. [+]

Tallinn to host EFLA Congress

The Regional Congress of the European Federation for Landscape Architecture (EFLA) will be take place in Tallinn (Estonia) from 2 to 4 November 2011. The congress, entitled “Mind the Gap: Landscapes for a New Era”, will bring together over 400 landscape experts from around the world. The official language of the event will be English. [+]

Rome: Nature and the Ideal – Landscapes 1600-1650

Rome: Nature and the Ideal - Landscapes 1600-1650 opened at the Museo del Prado on 5 July. The exhibition, organised by the Museo Nacional del Prado, Réunion des Musées Nationaux (Paris), and the Musée du Louvre (Paris), will run until 25 September. It showcases over a hundred works that analyse the birth and development of the genre of landscape painting up to the period coinciding with the peak of its achievement. [+]

 

Eighth edition of Blickachsen: sculpture in the open air

Lhis year’s exhibition of public sculpture, which is being hosted by the city of Bad Homburg for the eighth time, provides an opportunity to view works by renowned artists such as David Nash, Dennis Oppenheim, and Magdalena Abakanowicz, among others. The open-air show will run until 3 October. [+]

INDOC: a leading centre for
art and nature studies

Since it opened its doors on 18 May 2006, INDOC, the Art and Nature Documentation Centre, has been a benchmark centre for research in this field. The centre now has over 1600 members and regularly welcomes researchers from around the world who wish to consult its documentary holdings. [+]

OPENING HOURS: Mornings, Tuesday to Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m; Afternoons, Tuesday to Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
