The catalogue for the exhibition Museums in the 21st Century: Concepts, Projects, Buildings, which is on at the CDAN until 25 September..., is edited by the Art Centre Basel and published by Prestel Publishing, Munich. The catalogue describes the represented projects by means of richly illustrated and scientifically sound, critical articles written by experts.

The introduction contains a seminal essay by Prof. Werner Oechslin, as well as four articles on the architecture of museums in each of the represented four continents - Asia, Australia, Europe and North America - which introduce the readers, in some cases for the first time, to the history and situation of museums in the respective countries.
